Glen Orchy Glasgow motor yacht moored at calm Scottish harbor dock

We’ve previously joked about sailing off into the sunset if we ever made it onto the cover of Time magazine or The Economist. Certainly buying a boat makes little sense as an investment in normal times. We don’t live in normal times though, do we? So maybe Glenorchy should short sterling by going long a yacht in Glasgow. I’ve a sneaky suspicion that the value of this yacht will fare better than the currency, which is saying something because yachts are not assets. They’re large ostentatious depreciating liabilities.
