Greetings, friends!

Grand Teton National Park. Yes, I (Brad) took that photo, although it doesn’t do it justice!
After the Mavericks Dallas event, I (Brad) took my two boys up to Wyoming and Montana...more specifically, Jackson Hole, Cody, Red Lodge, a bit of Yellowstone, Bozeman, and surrounds.
What a wonderful place! I don’t even know where to start. Apart from the Tetons, the other highlights were the Northern Lights (12 November). I still find it amazing how the little camera in the iPhone can take such stunning pictures!
Or Pilot Peak in Yellowstone…
Imagine waking up to that view each morning. I guess you would eventually get peed off with cougars pinching your chickens and getting chased by bears.
Chief Joseph Pass (just outside Cody...the only access we had to get into Yellowstone from the east, as all other routes were closed for winter).
Again, the picture just gives a hint of how awesome the view was. It was the sort of stuff I used to read in picture books as a kid! By now, that’s probably all covered in snow.
We were lucky. It’s been a slow start to winter, with snow limited to the higher peaks. Otherwise, we wouldn’t have been able to get into Yellowstone at all.
Sometimes (often), it’s the unplanned things that you really remember. We came across the Cody Firearms Experience in Cody. It’s basically a gun range where you can shoot anything from muskets to Gatling guns, an M60, Thompson machine gun, .44 Mag…and the list goes on.
I was pleasantly surprised at how much the musket didn’t kick!
